Grazing and Hacking

Over 250 acres of rolling countryside on the London/Herts border. Enjoy a quiet and relaxing hack with your horse and admire the stunning views and wide variety of wildlife that is encouraged and protected on the estate.

We have over 100 acres of managed grazing, split into 16 separate paddocks of varying sizes (geldings and mares separated). Here, your horse will enjoy the benefit of all year turnout in a designated herd of no more than seven, smaller if required.

Meet and Greet Programme – A sure fire recipe for disaster is to turn a new horse loose in an established herd and pray for the best. At Mote End Farm, we care about the health and safety of your horse and pride ourselves in taking time to introduce every horse to its new herd. Our five-day Meet and Greet Programme features specially designed side-by-side paddocks to ensure all horses get to know each other prior to being safely turned out together.

Hospital Paddocks – We also have 3 designated hospital paddocks, two of which are located adjacent to the main yard so our staff can monitor any patients.

Private Hacking – Private hacking includes 8 miles of private maintained grass gallops.
